Swayam: Free Learning and Certificate by IIT

While enrollment and learning for all the courses free to all the residents of India without any bar on age or existing qualification, for e-verifiable certificate of a course issued by IIT, need to pass an exam conducted in person after paying a fee of Rs.1000.

Also useful is the concept of NPTEL Domain Certification under which one can become specialized in one area of choice.
