Digital Current Account: Zero balance account for your business by ICICI Bank
ICICI Bank provides a zero balance current account. Whether it is a sole proprietorship business or private limited company, it is possible to opt for this option. However, you still need to avail a debit card that will cost anywhere from 500 Rs. to 900 Rs. initially, depending upon the choice of your debit card. For my second year, I am not charged (hold two such current accounts, one for a proprietorship business and another for private limited company). So from the next year, this becomes zero balance account with zero charges in one sense.
Since, cash withdrawal from the debit card is charged (around Rs.23 per transaction), you need to be careful. Try minimizing by withdrawing from bank directly. You may transfer to a saving account and withdraw from your savings account debit card.
Though a zero balance account, during the time of account opening, you will be asked to deposit at least Rs.10,000 (ten thousand) that can be withdrawn as soon as the account activated.
